Brock & Football

This year was Brock's first year of playing Tackle Football. And, surprise, surprise, he loved it! But can I just say it was majorly emotional! For some of you who live here, you know about Brock's cute friend name Cooper Kenny who was in the horrific boating explosion and received treatment for burns covering 60% of his body. Cooper was a key player on Brock's football team and this accident was heartbreaking to all of us. But as we to often forget, there are miracles that take place among us every day. Cooper is one of those miracles!
Needless to say this was an event that not only pulled Brock's team together, but our entire community. What a closeness we have all felt to the Kenny Family and all those who have kept them in their prayers. So, it was hard to see the season end, because it meant we wouldn't be seeing all of these great kids & families each week.

The great thing about Football is how it bring boys together in a brotherhood, teaching them that through hard work, team work, and selflessness you can accomplish almost anything. I have always loved watching how Football changes Todd's players from boys to men, and am now grateful as it is doing the same thing for my sons.

Brock, Great Job, What a fun season! We couldn't be prouder!

Offense waiting for their turn to tear it up! (notice "Coop's" on the end)

Brock's here at center with buddy Dawson as quarterback!

Yes you are seeing things correctly.....Brock did play for Desert Hills this year! When Dad gave him the option to play for Pine View or with his friends at DH he picked his friends. He had all kinds of fun playing with the great kids from our neighborhood, and class mates on his team, however he received just enough crap by being called "traitor" by a couple of guys to sway his decision a little for next year....it will be interesting to see what he does, good thing he has a whole year before making that choice! (Cross your fingers for a boundary change!)

After halftime the mom's would hold up a banner for the boys to run through and break, Cooper was out of the hospital in time to come to our last game in the play-offs, and lead the team as they ran through the banner.

This is Cooper! You would never believe how great he looks compared to just three weeks earlier! What a miracle! We Love Ya Coop's!

Brennan's Birthday!

I've been meaning to put pictures up about Brennan's Birthday for months now, but keep getting side tracked!

I was able to surprise Brennan and take him horseback riding over at one our family friends stables. It was his first time (not for lack of begging for the past 5 years) and he did an awesome job! He listened really well, and was much more comfortable up in the saddle then I had thought he would be! I felt bad that his feet couldn't reach the stir-ups because we did have a little kids saddle, but that didn't stop Brennan from trotting or even a light canter.

Way to go Brennan!
We love you & hope you had a super Happy Birthday!

Don't Cry Over Spilled Millk?

Who's crying? We were just hurrying not to let it run under every appliance in the kitchen!

Would you believe I got up early and ran to the store to grab milk before everyone was up & would want cereal on Saturday...well it didn't last long! As Brennan pulled it out of the refrigerator he dropped the gallon, the side split & as you can see it went everywhere fast! The crazy thing was I wasn't even mad! Sure I wasn't excited about going back to the store, but this is one of those thing we are laughing about....hope if you're having a bad day this makes you feel a little bit better! :)
