Valentines Suckers...

Dear Journal~

I love Valentines...and Homemade items that show people you care, are right up my alley!
So, this year to give out at school, the boys and I make Homemade Suckers!

It was so much fun, that we all agreed we'll do it again next year!

Here are the molds....these were passed down to me from my Mom years ago, and when I went looking for more...I learned at the Levitt's Kitchen Store, that they are not being made anymore and are rather expensive! The women at the store offered to buy mine for $50.00! So hold onto any metal molds you have! (Cha-Ching)

Lots of yummy flavors and fun colors!

Happy Valentines Day!

Love you!

My Body is a Temple....

Dear Journal~

I have no clue why each of my boys have all thought it is fun to color on themselves! So, Levi got the "your body is a Temple" run down the other day, just like each of his big brothers! Per my very brilliant Pediatrician Dr. Nygaard! You first take a marker and color on their face, then you stand them in front of the mirror and say "See how ugly the marker looks? Your body is a temple that we want to keep clean and handsome...We don't color on the temple!" Followed by a trip to see how pretty and white the temple is some time that same week! Works every time! I'm sure there will be some needed counseling later, but it's also stopped any coloring on the walls too, so why change a good thing! :)

Levi is not happy at all with the marker on his face! Even more mad at me for taking his picture! (Mean Mom!)

Until next time....you've got to love being a Mom!

This past week a friend asked me to use my decorating skills and rearrange their show case of collected antique medical supplies and devices.... It was a lot of fun!

Among some of the items one I found interesting was the first Asthma Inhaler...invented by a Sir. Hiram Maxim's. It was kind of cool but I think all the boys in my house would much rather their new age Inhalers!
Oh by the way....Sir. Hiram Maxim's is more well known for a less peaceful invention, the Machine Gun.

History can be so interesting...

Until next time...
