Good Bye Olympics....

I guess I'm just one of those (like many) who couldn't be more proud at the end of the Olympics, to call myself an American! We are truly blessed to live in this country and I'm so honored by those many men & women who have given their lives in service for our freedom! The Olympics was just a great reminder of how wonderful it is to live here!
Anyways, I have loved watching for the past two weeks, and am so amazed, thrilled, and inspired by the many people who participated....not just American (thou they are my favorites) but all the people...young and old, with their stories of adversity and conquest, with the success and failures, but mostly with their love of life, pride for their people, and true spirit of competition.

Below are just a few of many of my favorite pictures!

This picture is for Brock who couldn't believe it when he saw it! Then spent five minutes staring at the picture trying to figure out how it works!

Natalie Du Toit of South Africa is the first amputee to complete an Olympic swimming race, she came in 16th which was a disappointment to her, but an inspirations to all of us!

"Lightning Bolt" from Jamaica is truly one fast man! He was so fun to watch.....His energy & pride were contagious!

Okay, so I'm a sucker for anything to do with Horses, just because I wish I could still jump...Eric Lamaze from Canada is 61 years old and worth all the Gold he won for his country!

Come on...who doesn't love Michael? He is a real competitor, pushing all the way to end (or to the last second) which won him his 7 gold, of the 8! He's soooooooooo Cooooool! The only person who could possibly be cooler, would be his Mom!

I love, love, love, love gymnastics! To Shawna & all the girls from the US...your the best!

Just one more horse picture...cross country is my favorite, and don't tell Todd (it might hurt his feelings) but if I'm not dreaming about 4 wheeling, it's about jumping!

What a Great Olympics....110 medals total for the US! Go Red, White & Blue!!!

So? What were your favorites? And what will your remember the most about the Olympics? Let me know!

I'm one of the few who didn't really watch the olympics. The opening ceremonies were awesome though!
