How "2" do....

Every now and then I get in this mode where I want to learn how to do something new....and when I do really find something that was worth the effort of learning...it only seems right that I share! So this is the new thing I've learned!
How to cut Peppers correctly! Okay so I've used Peppers in all kinds of recipes for years, and one of the down falls is not only the time it take me to cut them, but the fact that I feel a need to rinse the peppers after each cut just to keep the seeds cleaned off.
So, Here's the new simple clean & quick way to cut a Pepper!

Lay the Pepper on it's side...

Cut the top of the Pepper off! (don't worry if you get part of the steam...that actually helps!)

Now that you've cut off the top, cut off the bottom...

Keep the top & bottom to use,(notice how you can easily popping the steam out of the top)

Now take the cylinder shaped body of the pepper and set it up on one end, take the tip off your knife and cut down allowing the pepper to be opened up all the way.

Simply slide the blade of your knife along the membrane to clear it off and remove the big seeded mass!

Ta-Da! You did it!

Mr. Levi....to know him, is to love him!

Levi is at a very cute age right now, he is full of opinions and demands along with loves and thoughtful comments. Here's just a small taste of Levi for you....

Church: We were sitting in sacrament a couple of weeks back, just as they had finished the sacrament song my Brother Dustin and his wife and son snuck in to the row of seats behind us. Levi was so excited to see Baby Ethan that he could hardly keep his arms folded and head bowed during the prayer. Sure enough as so as the prayer was done, he demands very loudly "I want that Baby on me, right now!" as he pointed to his lap. Of course everyone turned, and when baby Ethan did get to sit on his lap he told him "You a good baby, you big!".

Baby Ethan and Levi.. (Don't you love how little kids love babies!)

Potty Training: Well the time has come...and yes we have done the potty training thing. I'd have to say that Levi has done a great job...however he is so obsessed with washing his hands (he gets this from Dad) that he wont let me put his pants back on until his hand are washed! The other day when Levi was with Grandma she helped him go in and use the bathroom while we were at the Big Boys Basketball game. After the game Levi told me in the car that Grandma didn't know how to go the bathroom right...."Gam-ma, no do the potty right! I not go backward...my hands got no big bubbles!" I was dieing of laughter! (I hope this picture doesn't land me in jail..)

Like Dad: I just love how little boys want to grow up and be like their Dad's! Levi insists in riding his motorcycle like Dad. He has to have sunglasses on so he looks "tool"! Not to forget the sock on his hands for "glubs".... If I'm not watching I might end up with my toe ran over...it's no joke when the "tool Dude" is on his bike!

The Shoes: Levi has this very old pear of shoes that he loves. I have bought him a few new pairs, but he just wont let them go! For some reason he started calling them his Football Shoes (maybe because we would only put his shoes on when we were going to go to Dad's football games). Anyways, in order to get him to wear his other shoes I told him that the blue shoes were Basketball shoes...of course we now have Soccer shoes...(I'm running out of sports hear!)
The other day when Levi had first started potty training, he had an accident that went all the way down both legs and into his shoes...(the football shoes) I thought "Great, we get to throw the shoes away now!" No such luck! Levi found them in the trash and pulled them out, and put them in the washing machine! I tried again to throw them out, but he was keeping a close eye on them...I've had one more accident since, and still no luck on tossing the shoes! I even had Brock take them all the way out to the trash can's outside, but wouldn't you know it...Brennan saw them in the trash and carried them back in saying as he walked in the house "Mom, someone put Levi's Football shoes in the trash"....to late, Levi saw them! (Those dang football shoes!)

Other common things you'll see or hear from Levi are: "Tanks Mom, you da best!" when you've given him something. Or the other day when it was his turn to say the pray, I helped him with Dear, Heavenly Father, then when I started "Thank you"...he finished "For watching T.V.! Amen." (I told you he took after his father!

Brock informed me he had a real problem the other day as he came walking into the kitchen from the office....sure enough Levi was on his tummy on the floor holding onto Brock ankle as Brock was dragging him into the kitchen....I wouldn't of even known Levi was there other then he was laughing so hard!

This past week Brennan came running up stairs to tell me that Levi was trying to kill him....sure enough, here came Levi sunglasses on, socks on or should I say "Glubs" on, with his sword (which I thought I had put on the top shelf). As Levi was pointing to Brennan with his sword, he had a pillow from the coach in the other yelling "I get you bad guy! You goning to jail!"

So, like I said before....to know Levi is to Love Levi!

Oh, how we Love, LOVE!

Valentines is a super fun holiday to me...maybe it's the chance to make the cute boxes, or just that I get to give love notes to everyone I love....Okay you caught me, it's the Candy!!!!

The Boys came up with some really cute ideas for Valentine boxes this year!

Or course we had to have a sports themed Valentine box for Brock....this was a bit of a challenge, but much better then his original idea which was a pin-ball machine with the sounds, balls and everything...(Wow, I'm glad Brock thinks I can do anything!)

Brennan is so funny, in making his Valentine, he wanted me to be sure to remember his two buck teeth! How cute is that?

We even had to make a box for Levi! It's amazing what you can do with a hot glue gun in 10 minutes! By the way....

This is suppose to look like "Buster"!

We had lots of fun surprising our cousins as we decorated their doors and left a treat! We did the same thing for the Grandparents, but under each heart we wrote something we love about each of them!

Like I said....we Love, LOVE!

Hope you had a lovely Valentines Day!!!

Snow-Much-Fun!

In January we made a trip North (to Salt Lake) and had all kinds of fun!

We all went Ice Skating at the Bountiful Rec. Center! The boys had fun, but liked watching the High School Hockey Teams more...they loved during the game when people were smashed up against the glass! We Love Hockey!

Levi & I did our best to keep up with the big boys....I think Levi did the best!

We Celebrated our Great Grandma Nelson's 80th Birthday with all the family!

Isn't she so Cute!!!

We built Snowman with Dad in the Snow!

Who says you can't play in the snow if you don't own winter clothes?
These are our make-shift snow boats! (plastic sacks over our shoes)

We really did have Snow-Much-Fun!
