Maybe I just love the rain because it brings back some of my best memories as a kid! The ones where my Dad had us quickly grab our pillows & blankets before running to the van parked in the driveway to sleep for the night while lullabied by the sound of millions of rain drops on a metal roof above.
But the thing I think I love most about the rain....is the sun! After the rain always comes the sun! After the heart ache always comes the peace! When all the bad has been washed away the light shines and brings us happiness!
Today, as I was doing my regular Monday pick up, I passed the bathroom and saw my favorite sight....an empty toilet paper roll!
Normally this would make me roll my eyes & wonder how in the world I ended up with a house full of boys & empty toilet paper rolls....
But today I feel grateful! Grateful for three little boys who think I personally hung the moon! Grateful for a Husband who thinks he won the lottery! Grateful for Grandparents who live close, for great Sister in-laws who I love & learn from daily! For Brothers (Mine & Todd's) who always have my back! And for Friends who always leave me better then I was found!
And Mainly....for this gospel that I believe in with all my heart! I watch helplessly as some of the most amazing people I know suffer through such hardships, such pain, such loss and I know that it all will be okay, because of this wonderful plain our Heavenly Father has for us. He believes in Eternal Family's, in Happiness, in Love & Kindness and all the good that is the Light after the Rain.
So, to two very special women who will always have a place my heart, Sister Gubler & Sister Olsen....I am Grateful for you!
And Remember, after the rain no matter how long it lasts, comes the Sun....
