When the going gets tough & the tough gets going...You might just have to break down & have a drink! (good thing my AAA sponsor -Roz- checks on me daily!) ;)
Every once and a while when things are crazy I go find my favorite cup, dig in the back of the pantry for my flat 2 liter of Pepsi and just pour a glass....
Have you ever had those weeks,(or two) that just make you wonder....
~Why they heck are we still having so much homework, with major craft projects due with one week left in school...
~Can I ever leave the house & look back at my kids in the car & think "there still clean, and we've made it 10 whole minutes", rather then, "Are we always going to look like white trash every where we go?"
~Is it humanly possible to buy a 3 year old new shoes (because his brothers loaded him in the car & when you got to football realized he had no shoes on, therefore had to run up the street to the nearest payless to get a pair) and with in 10 feet of getting out of the car, he jumps in the only mud puddle (more like swamp) in a 3 mile radius? So much for new shoes...
~Why is it that newly planted tomatoes bushes in my garden seem to attract every single stray basketball shot in my back yard? And why do my children make comments like.."oh, sorry Mom, I guess I owe you 3 bucks" before going back to playing? Do they have any idea how much fun it is to have to buy & re-plant things?
~How about the joys of having a dog, who spend the whole morning outside with you only to walk in the house and through up on your freshly cleaned carpet....really? Like you didn't just spend 3 hours outside & could of done that!!! Good thing the carpet cleaner was still out...
~How come every time I go to the story I have something leak, break or spill in the car & drip into the house...only to find that it's something I needed for dinner that night, and have to go back to the store!?!
~Why do I need to re-prove that I'm a citizen of the United States to renew my Drivers License? It's not my first time having a drivers license...I don't look like I'm from another country...(have you seen my white legs?)
~And why does it take 3 trip & 2 hours of waiting each trip, to find out that I need a "newer" copy of my birth certificate...that I can't get by the way, because I need a current drivers license...and "I" especially can't get one because I was born in California...which means "road trip" or I'm doing everything on line and waiting 2-4 weeks for paper work just so I can go back to the wonderful DMV!
~My favorite..."I need a drink" scenario...Take the 3 year old to football practice for the big boys, he has to go to the bathroom, runs the length of the field in the opposite direct of the bathrooms, while I'm chasing him...cries & screams that he's pooped, walk all the way back to the car trying to get him to stop screaming about poop...at the car see what we can do to help the problem...the wipes are all dried up, don't want to set him in the car seat or we'll be cleaning that up too! I see my husbands car park just a couple of cars down, knows he has wipes & grab an empty chip bag from the front seat just in case...into the chip bag goes the under ware and a dozen wipes...with only 10 minutes left in practice back on go the pants! Upon saying good bye to Dad, he asks why is Levi walking so funny, I whisper "he has no under ware on" at which point Dad repeats very loudly in front of a everyone "He's free-balling it!" all the football players laugh, other coaches & parents look at me like what kind of mother is she....
All in all I think I'm really, really, ready for a vacation! (And another drink!)
Hope you don't have as many need to drink days as I have the last few weeks! :)
*I just realized after re-reading this post why I never seem to get anything done! Ha, Ha, Ha....

It sounds like you need me for more than an AA sponsor. All MOthers have drinking days and weeks, hang in there it only gets worse, teenagers etc.LOL Nana
HA HA...I am cracking up right now just agreeing with you on how you do need a vacation with no kids, but we all have weeks like that once in awhile so keep your head up and enjoy a couple drinks here and there!
Wow-that was entirely too entertaining to read--you have yourself a whole liter of Pepsi my friend! And you let this neighbor around the corner what you need and what can do! =)
OMG!!!! i am feeling so much of the DMV pain right now. SOOO irritated about all the 87 forms i have to prove that i have lived here all my life. i think they also need a blood sample and a mouth swab and information about your first pet. it is so ridic. and i am still driving illegally because who has time to go to the DMV when they work the same hours as the DMV is open? not me.
Hee hee- you crack me up and I am missing your sweet self- it has been too long since we have played. Thanks for being such a great human being. love ya.
